Limited Series — In Development

Pachinko, through a Filipina's eyes.

Inspired by an extraordinary true story, Minda follows a young Filipina whose pursuit of the American dream takes her from the Philippines of the 1960s to a racially divided Boston in the 1970s.

After surviving violence, exploitation, and the loss of her family, she believes America offers a chance at freedom. But the man who promises her a new beginning becomes the very person she must escape.

A sweeping, character-driven historical drama exploring identity, survival, motherhood, and the price of freedom.

Why Minda?

My mother grew up in the Philippines dreaming of a different life. At a young age, she came to America hoping for safety and opportunity, only to face challenges she never could have imagined.

Growing up, I heard pieces of her story, but it wasn’t until later that I began to understand everything she had survived. Minda is my way of bringing her story to life and sharing the resilience of a woman whose experiences deserve to be seen.

Where Minda stands?

Minda is an eight-episode limited series inspired by a true story. The project is currently in development, with a focus on building the right creative team to bring it to the screen.

My mother, Minda.
